Priced similarly to newer instruments, the sound of this viola is sure to deliver to violists looking for the sound of an older instrument in fine condition.

If you are looking for a larger viola with a rich full character to the sound, this Edler viola is a great choice. Son of violin maker J.L. Henry Edler, this viola was made in Boston in the 1960’s. At 16 ½ inches, it is well proportioned in the upper bouts to allow easy access to the upper positions.
A very characteristic example of American viola making, it is made with thoughtful craftsmanship and a dark varnish over well-chosen flamed maple and spruce.
